Who we are
Shantel’s family has been in the sheep industry for decades. She received 2 ewe bummer lambs in 2015 who she named Frick and Frack.
"That's where I fell in love with sheep and the Suffolk breed. And the rest is history, I couldn't imagine not having sheep in my life."
Breeding goals
When asked about traits Youngkin Suffolks prioritizes, Shantel says, “We want it all.Tall, long-bodied, big boned, very well developed testicles, masculine rams. For the ewe’s, deep-bodied, good natured.”
Shantel’s favorite thing about raising livestock is “Watching the lambs grow, seeing how the genetics and traits come together.”
