Photo Contest

Photography Competition Categories:

1. Sheep & Sheep Related
2. Sheep/Guard Dog & Dog Related
3. Wool & Wool Related
4. Landscape

Photo Submission Period:

1 June 2020 – 1 October 2020

Entry Rules:

Submission of photos in the competition is deemed acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. Entries must be taken in Idaho
2. Each entrant must submit a signed entry form
3. Photos must be taken by the entrant
4. It is entrant’s responsibility to obtain appropriate written permission from people or owners of property that are identifiable in their photographs
5. Entries are required to be submitted individually via email to [email protected] with “2020 Photo Contest Submission” in the subject line or send us your photo through the form below
6. Each photo must be labeled using the following format: “Name, Location, Category” along with a completed entry form and model consent form (s)
7. Photo size must be a minimum of 2MB, .jpeg format, 300 dpi – We do not accept any other format
8. Submission can be in either landscape or portrait mode
9. Photographs that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified
10. Entrants can enter up to three photos in each category (12 total)
11. Upon signing the entry form, the entrant consents to their photographs being used by the Idaho Wool Growers Association for promotional purposes which includes, but is not limited to, publication in print, on websites and social media. The entrant fully indemnifies the Idaho Wool Growers Association against any claims arising from the display or use of any entry by the Idaho Wool Growers Association
12. There is no entry fee required for this competition
13. At all times, the judge’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. The prizes are to be accepted as awarded and no other product or cash in lieu of the prize shall be negotiated for 

Your Rights:

You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit, other than those rights licensed in the next sentence. By entering the contest, you hereby grant to the Idaho Wool Growers Association

• (i) a nonexclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, and publicly display the photographs you submit to the Idaho Wool Growers Association 2020 Photography Contest, and
• (ii) the right to use your name in promotions and other publications.

2. Cover Art of the 2020 Idaho Wool Growers Calendar with artist biography
3. Wool Pelt (Value $100)

First Place Category Prize:

1. $250 Cash
2. Photograph printed in calendar highlighted with artist biography
3. Wool Pelt (Value $100)

Second Place Category Prize:

1. $100 Cash
2. Photograph printed in calendar highlighted with artist biography
3. Wool Pelt (Value $100)

Third Place Category Prize:

1. $50 Cash
2. Photograph printed in calendar highlighted in artist biography
3. Wool Pelt (Value $100)
